This is the best kitchen gadget i've purchased in a long time! I've tried it on several sized pots and pans and it's worked great each time. The first time i used it, I did tip the pan too fast and lost a couple of ravoli, so start draining your water slowly then when its almost out, tilt your pan more to get the remaining water out to avoid the issue of having food spill out with the water. Its so much easier than a traditional colander!! Even my skeptical husband loves it now. I've used it with Pasta, rice and even to drain grease out of meat-- works great each time! We use it so much that we recently bought more as gifts for family and friends because it's become our go-to item. I use it nearly everyday and it's holding up great.

This worked so well for draining beef grease from my large 12" fry pan. There was no leaking what so ever like I was afraid of. It poured perfectly into a small cup. I also used it to drain hot water from boiling noodles for the same dinner!
I had tried everything to drain fat, from spooning it out, turkey bastering it, and most recently trying to scoop it out and pat it dry. This is a lifesaver! I cannot wait to use it again!

This product is fantastic. I used it to drain my spaghetti meat first and then popped it off one pan and put it on the water/noodles and it held up nicely while I dumped the water into the sink.
One thing to note - it may not fit all kinds of pans well. My teal pan has a bit of a lip and the part you squeeze on the clip attachment was slightly difficult to get settled, there isn't a lot of room or give when you squeeze to attach it. It did work and I'm adding this item to my list as a great idea for future gifts to family/friends.

I used to use an earlier design that just had a clip in the center in line with the pour spout. Although that product worked fine, it would often slip off when draining heavier products like pasta. Another complaint I had about my old strainer, is that the strainer barrier was quite small and often food would spill over the top of the strainer as I was pouring the water out.
This new strainer solves both those issues very well.
The two clips on either side of the strainer are very strong and hold well on all sizes of pots I've used it with. The fact that the strainer barrier is large enough to hold back a large quantity of product, means there is very little chance of food spilling out over the top while pouring off the liquid.
I have only hand washed it, so can't speak as to dishwasher durability.
Very happy.

This item is fantastic! The primary pot on which I use the SNAP'N STRAIN is a non-stick stock pot that has a somewhat unusual "lipped" edge. Thus, I was a bit apprehensive that the SNAP'N STRAIN would not snap securely in place. Although it's a bit of a tight fit, it does snap in place and hold securely to the non-stick sides of the pot. I can now strain pasta from the boiling pot by simply holding the pot's handles and not have to hold a strainer in place -- no more burned hands! I just received the product, so I can't really attest to its durability. However, I have other silicon cooking utensils and know that they hold up extremely well to high temperatures and extensive usage (unlike my previous PLASTIC strainer that simply cracked and fell apart after a couple years of use).

I bought this without much hope for an outstanding product. HOWEVER- once I received this strainer (it took a long time to ship to me) I was amazed. This thing is great. The strainer is especially good for small items such as rice or angel hair pasta and it works like a charm. I have never been worried that it might un-clamp from my pot, but it's also not difficult to attach- no arm/hand strength needed!

I wasn't going to give five stars, only three, because when I first got this the product reeked of factory chemical smell. However, it only took a few washings and I am now comfortable using it, and it no longer smells. I didn't bother about it at first when it smelled because I didn't think the time was worth the hassle, but I see that the seller has rectified those who did have that problem so all's well.
My item not only fits on every size round pan I own, it also is able to be flexed to fit one of the corners of the old-style, squarish Corningware casseroles that can go from oven to stovetop to fridge. This way, I can easily make something like mashed cauliflower using only one pot. And it takes up SO much less room than a typical colander. Works even to drain enough spaghetti for 4, if you're careful-- a great substitute for a traditional colander if you have a smaller household.

This works pretty much as advertised. I live alone in a small apartment with a small kitchen that has very little storage space, and I often eat pasta. Using a colander means one more thing I have to wash (& store & put away). I have a couple of hand strainers, but that makes things awkward, especially since I have a condition that makes it even more so. This little guy has made things so much easier! Its small size makes it easy to wash (by hand, for me) and then just bung in a drawer. It's sturdy, even the clips, so I don't feel I have to be gentle with it. I'm not too keen on the colours, but I didn't buy it for decoration, so no points off. It does NOT fit my Instant Pot pot, but then it never really claimed to, & the IP pot is its own design, so again - no points off. I'm pleased with my purchase, and would recommend it highly, provided people actually read the description & not go solely by the photo plus what they want it to be above & beyond. (I hoped it would fit the IP, but it does fit all my "normal" pots & pans, so I feel it was a reasonable description. Haven't tried it on the cast-iron skillet yet....)

Gave this to my wife to use. She tried to attach it to a pyrex bowl she uses to mix in. She was unable to get the 'gap' out of the front and keep the food from coming out when trying to strain... However, once she told me that I promptly went over to the bowl and noted that she didn't bother to stretch the silicon out far enough and I was able to make a perfect seal. So, I guess if you expect to just snap this on and not adjust it, than this isn't going to be for you. However, if you have an extra 30 seconds to adjust it right, I believe that this strainer will work very well with most any bowl or pot. The rubber seems sturdy and looks like it will last. The only thing that I can see that will ware house sooner than later are the actual clips that clip to the bowl. They have a good holding strength now that the device is new, but being that they're just a folded over piece of spring steal, I suspect that after using them on a mixing bowl (as opposed to a flat edge pot) they will become stretched out and not hold on tight after a while. I'll let you know if I find that to be the case in the next 6 months. If it lasts more than that than I would say that it's paid for itself. All in all I would buy this again.
